Hydrogen

Hydrogen is found only in trace quantities in the atmosphere but is found in abundance in hydrocarbons and in water and is the most abundant element in the universe. Colorless and highly flammable, hydrogen is the lightest of all gases. Major uses of hydrogen include the production of synthetic ammonia and methanol, petroleum refining, the hydrogenation of organic materials, oxyhydrogen torches, and in rocket fuels.
